New Linoleum and New Pics of Ellie

I can't remember if I've posted these of Ellie in her little blue dress. Either way, it's one of my favorites!

This is Eleanor's favorite burping position. she likes to try to sit up on her own and work it all out. She is very curious and loves to look around. In fact, she hates to lay against your chest because she can't see what's going on! She puts her little head up like a turtle all the time.
Ellie after nap-time in her Sleep-sack.

Ellie is getting more used to bath time.

We went to our friends the Ray's one Sunday for breakfast. Whitney got so mad at me that she threw her plate full of powdered sugar at me...okay so really she just dropped it on me on accident- but it was pretty funny.

Ellie gets her gun licence

It's been a great week! We are winding down in school. I think I'm only like 9 tests, 3 papers, 2 reports, and 6 weeks away from graduation! Woot woot!

Carl thankfully sent us some onesies without flowers, animals, pink buttons, or happy clouds. What more could a little girl ask for than a onesie adorned with automatic green rifles? I don't know, maybe some crazy hippy capris to wear with them.

I love styling Eleanor's hair. She's pretty good natured about it most of the time. She takes it much better than Whitney.

"I'm so worn out from all this smiling and laying around. They even dared to make me do tummy time today. Can you believe that?"

We try so hard to get Ellie to smile all the time! Every now and then she just gives us the "You guys are weird look." This is one of those times and we were able to catch her on camera.

Dancing and Parenting

I am a firm believer that dancing is an essential part of marriage. I love going to the Valentine's dance with my beautiful bride each year. We pretty much rule the dance floor and others just watch in wonder.
Whitney was in charge of the decorating for the food table. She is so creative!Ellie is not big on headbands. She usually ends up just rubbing her head on the blanket behind her until it comes off. But she sure looks cute! We got her to keep it on for church one day and when we got home there was a divot in her forehead. It eventually filled in again, but we realized that she's outgrown a few of her headbands.

Our friends the Bloomfields had us over and Shay just loved little Ellie.

That's our little angel! She is so great. We're taking her to the doctor today because she's got a stuffy nose and a cough. We're hoping that it's just a little cold and not allergies or something serious. It's weird when you're baby get's sick for the first time...just kind of scary, even though if you had the same symptoms you would just say "what a weak sauce cold," and then laugh and go to school.

Being a dad is the best. We hope you guys are enjoying our Daddy blog!

Everybody loves a baby

Eleanor got all dressed up for Valentine's day and she was just sport'n her stuff like it was nobody's business.

This is one of my favorites- it was taken right after Eleanor really learned how to smile back at you.

This is what we like to call a "Tired Mother" picture. The baby's finally asleep and Whit was just too pooped to do anything.

Eleanor is probably most alert when she is on her changing table. She just smiles at you the whole time!

Whenever I get home from work and school, Ellie and I usually play for an hour or so on a blanket on the ground. She is getting used to being on her tummy and holds her head up pretty well.

Someday I'm sure we'll look back at this picture and be disgusted with our college couch...but for now, you've just got to love those grapes!

Sean, Whitney's brother, is trying to claim favorite uncle status- but he's got a tough road to haul.
